Latest Updates from Our Project:

Production started - Sailcloth canvas ordered
almost 7 years ago – Fri, Jun 30, 2017 at 01:22:20 AM

Dear Everyday Life Adventurers,

first of all many thanks to all of you for answering the colours questions in my last update. It helped us a lot in understanding your preferences when it comes to colours.

As you can see blue got most of the votes. :-)

As some of you already know, we will ask for your colour choice after the campaign is finished and once more before we ship. So you still have time to decide.

Yesterday in evening we officially started the production with ordering the sailcloth canvas. So far we are within our promised timing of shipping your Kamarg by end of September. Sending that order felt very exciting to me. We finally move beyond protoyping into production.

Once we have the sailcloth I can also share picture of the final colours. This is especially important for the beige one where we decided on a small colour adjustment (slightly less green to move it closer to the original and make it more timeless).

Have a great weekend everybody. And thanks again for making Kamarg a reality.

Adventure is worthwhile, so let's get started.

Your (preliminary) colour choices wanted
almost 7 years ago – Mon, Jun 19, 2017 at 12:13:24 PM

Dear Every Day Life Adventurers,

we are already looking into production of your Kamargs. To get a first understanding of your colour choices, please be so kind and answer our one-question survey ("What colour do you intend to order?") here: https://www.surveymonkey.de/r/L8633TP

You can click multiple answers so if you ordered two, you can click on "beige" and "blue" for example. Just one question, takes you 5 seconds.

You can still change your colour choice until we ship but I would like to make sure we do not end up with 718 orders of red or beige. ;-)

Many thanks for your help.

Talk soon,

Franz

Stretch goal reached! Say hello to the Kamarg raincover.
almost 7 years ago – Sun, Jun 18, 2017 at 11:13:30 PM

Dear Every Day Life Adventurers,

today in the morning we broke through the 60.000 EUR barrier. Still a bit unbelievable that we now have close to 700 backers.

With the stretch goal reach we can now also offer a rain cover to all of our backers for free. As mentioned in my last update it is the perfect companion to your Kamarg and makes it a year round product.

Let's have a closer look:

Our raincover has been designed especially for the size of the Kamarg so it fits perfectly and looks great.

It has an elastic band and hook to attach it to your Kamarg which makes sure the cover stays on if when there is wind or when you are taking it off to get something out of the bag.

The logo on the cover is reflective to improve visibility.

The cover can be folded into a compact bag, easy to story in your front compartment or somewhere else.

The colour of the raincover will be dark grey (not light grey as you can see it in the pictures). We found out that dark grey works best with all three colours that's why.

Just to clarify, the rain cover will be given free with every Kamarg ordered. So if you ordered two, you will get two rain covers.

I am very happy that we are able to provide this nice addition to your Kamarg for free.

Have a great weekend and talk soon,

Franz

The first week of our adventure
almost 7 years ago – Thu, Jun 15, 2017 at 12:28:48 PM

Dear Everyday Life Adventurers,

first of all many thanks to all of you to help us break our funding goal within 5h 49min. It was a big suprise to me to see all this support pouring in and people sometimes going lengths to make their pledge possible. I still feel very grateful for you joining our adventure on bringing Kamarg back. When you develop a product you just want to get it out there as quick as possible and you made that happen. :-)

In the last week we have given people the chance to experience the products in real life with our pre-order days in Graz and Vienna.

Especially in Graz people came to tell their stories. I found out more about the founders and met people that knew the store in Griesgasse 22. It was truly great. The most important question was which colour to choose which for me was a good sign that we got everything else right.

If you look at our current funding, our stretch goal is in plain sight and that would mean that we can offer a raincover to all backers soon.

The rain cover is so important to me as it makes the Kamarg a all year round product. It is also the first product developed solely by us. It has some nice features like a draining hole on the bottom and an clip so you can fixate it to your Kamarg. It is a truly great companion to the bag.

Let's keep our fingers crossed so we reach the stretch goal soon. You can support Kamarg by sharing our project with friends and spread the love.

Until then, thanks again for all your support. If you have any questions about the product, the history or me, just drop me a message on Kickstarter or use our chat at kamarg.net.

Adventure is worthwhile. So let's get started,

Franz
